Welcome to the Animation Collaboration Network

This network started off as a yahoo group of the same name, then the site got spammed with allsorts of lowlife, so I took the liberty of purchasing the domain name and hosting and am in the process of building this site using a content management system called Drupal which is open source.

I hope this network will prove to be an invaluable network and a great learning environment for those who are interested in animations, whether they are creating them, involved in the process of making them or a fan of watching them.

Review:

This was such a useful book as I had not thought about the pschology of the characters in the stories, and it helped me understand the different views that the different psychologist had, from Freud to Jung and Adler to May, its definitely worth a read and I would highly recommend it

The Writers Jouney: Mythic Structure for Writers

admin's picture

The Writer's Journey: Mythic Structure For Writers is a popular screenwriting textbook by writer Christopher Vogler, focusing on the theory that most stories can be boiled down to a series of narrative structures and character archetypes, described through mythological allegory. Vogler based this work upon the writings of mythologist Joseph Campbell, particularly The Hero With a Thousand Faces, and holds that all successful films innately adhere to its principles. The book was very well received upon its release, and is often featured in recommended reading lists for student screenwriters.

Was speaking to Stu yesterday and he has given me permission to use his story to turn into a script for a short animated film, so its my challenge to come up with a believable script that is true to Stu's story. What is my Intention

admin's picture

Well I have quite a few intentions with regards to this site.

  • I would like it to be a functional and excellent place to be creative, collaborate and learning zone with regards to animation and film
  • I would also like to be able to collaborate on a story that in turn is turned into screenplay that goes on to evolve into animated short films etc.
